Just A Minute
The Just A Minute (JAM) competition is a test of spontaneity, precision, and linguistic clarity. Participants must speak on a given topic for one uninterrupted minute — without hesitation, repetition, or deviation — while fellow contestants keenly observe, ready to raise valid objections. The event sharpens quick thinking, articulation, and presence of mind under pressure. Every second counts, as even the slightest error may cost the speaker the floor. Guided by the JAM Master’s final authority, this event blends wit and command over language in a fast-paced, intellectually engaging format.

Asian Parliamentary Debate
The Asian Parliamentary Debate (APD) follows a dynamic team-based format that mirrors real-world parliamentary discourse. Each match features two teams — the Proposition and the Opposition — engaging in a structured exchange of arguments, rebuttals, and points of information. Comprising three members per side, the debate unfolds through a series of substantive and reply speeches, emphasising logical reasoning, strategic communication, and persuasive delivery. Participants are evaluated on the strength of their arguments, clarity of expression, and adherence to parliamentary decorum. APD serves as a platform for students to refine critical thinking, teamwork, and spontaneity while engaging in intellectually rigorous dialogue on contemporary issues.

Some things never get said- not because they shouldn’t, but because they wouldn’t land well. This writing competition gives them a destination. Participants compose unsent letters to a person, place, concept, or ghost of their choosing. The only rule: mean it, and write it well.

Inksynk: Creative Writing
Inksync is what happens when creative writing meets controlled chaos. Participants form teams and co-write a single piece, but there’s a catch. Every two minutes, partners switch drafts and continue writing from wherever the other left off. Your teammate’s half-finished metaphor becomes your problem, your abandoned sentence becomes their salvation. It’s a game of rhythm, intuition, and literary improvisation, because sometimes, great writing isn’t written alone.
